Frequently asked questions

What does Yard Marshal do?

Yard Marshal provides professional pet waste removal for residential yards. We visit on your scheduled service day, thoroughly scoop the designated areas of your yard, bag the waste, and haul it away so you can enjoy a cleaner outdoor space.

How often can I have my yard cleaned?

We currently offer weekly and every-other-week recurring service, along with one-time cleanups.

Weekly service is our most popular option for keeping waste under control consistently.

How much does service cost?

Recurring pricing is based on your service frequency and number of dogs.

Weekly service starts at $16.99 per visit.
Every-other-week service starts at $25.99 per visit.

Initial cleanups and one-time cleanups may cost more depending on the number of dogs and how long it has been since the yard was last cleaned.

Is there an extra charge for the first cleanup?

Sometimes. If there is accumulated waste when service begins, your initial cleanup may require additional time and carry an additional charge.

During signup, we provide an estimated range based on the number of dogs and how long it has been since the yard was last cleaned. The final amount may be adjusted based on the actual condition of the yard.

Do you offer one-time cleanups?

Yes. You do not have to enroll in recurring service to use Yard Marshal.

One-time cleanup pricing depends on the number of dogs and the amount of accumulated waste in the yard.

Do I need to be home during service?

No. As long as we can safely access the yard, you do not need to be home.

Please make sure gates are unlocked or provide accurate access instructions through your account.

What happens if my gate is locked?

If we arrive and cannot access the yard because of a locked gate, incorrect access code, or another customer-caused access issue, the scheduled visit may still be charged.

Keeping your gate and access information current helps us avoid missed service.

This is similar to the access policies used by established pet-waste companies, which commonly require customers to provide reliable yard access.

What should I do with my dogs while you are cleaning?

For everyone's safety, dogs that may be aggressive, territorial, or uncomfortable with strangers should remain securely inside during service.

If we cannot safely enter or complete service because of an unsecured or unsafe dog, the visit may be treated as a customer-caused skipped cleanup.

What happens if it rains?

Light rain generally does not automatically prevent service.

If weather conditions make it unsafe or impractical to complete the cleanup, we may delay or reschedule service. Customers will not be charged for a Yard Marshal weather-related skip.

Competitors in the industry similarly address weather as part of normal scheduling and may adjust service around severe conditions.

What happens on holidays?

Holiday schedules may occasionally require an adjustment to your normal service day.

If that happens, we will communicate any schedule change as early as reasonably possible.

Will I know when Yard Marshal is coming?

Yes. Our customer system allows us to send service notifications, including arrival and service-related updates.

You can manage applicable notification preferences through your customer account.

Arrival and completed-service notifications are also common among larger competitors such as POOP 911 and Department of Doody.

What happens to the dog waste?

We bag the waste and haul it away with us.

You will not be left with bags of pet waste sitting in your yard or trash can after normal service.

How do I pay?

Yard Marshal uses secure online payment processing.

A payment method is kept on file through our payment processor, and recurring customers are billed according to their completed services and billing cycle.

Will I receive an invoice?

Yes. Finalized invoices are emailed to customers.

You can also use your customer portal to manage applicable account and billing information.

Is sales tax included in the advertised price?

Advertised service prices are shown before applicable sales tax.

Texas sales tax will be added where required.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No long-term service contract is required for standard residential service.

We want customers to stay because the service is useful and reliable, not because they are locked into a lengthy agreement. No-contract positioning is common among established competitors as well.

Can I pause, skip, or cancel service?

Yes, subject to Yard Marshal's Terms of Service.

Whenever possible, please provide advance notice for schedule changes so we can adjust our route.

What areas of the yard will you clean?

We clean the service areas selected or identified for your property, such as the backyard, front yard, side yards, dog runs, patios, or other agreed-upon areas.

Areas must be reasonably accessible and safe for service.

Do you clean large yards?

Yes, but unusually large properties or yards requiring significantly more time than a standard residential yard may require an adjusted quote.

What if I have more than four dogs?

Our standard published pricing covers up to four dogs.

If you have more than four dogs, contact Yard Marshal so we can provide appropriate pricing for your property.

What if I'm not satisfied with a cleanup?

Contact us as soon as possible and tell us what happened.

We want the opportunity to review the issue and make reasonable service problems right. Satisfaction guarantees are a major trust point across leading competitors, so I think Yard Marshal should eventually formalize a specific guarantee as we get closer to launch.

How do I get started?

Click Get Started and enter your ZIP code, number of dogs, preferred service frequency, and property information.

Once Sweep&Go activates our customer onboarding form, you'll be able to view pricing and complete signup online.

How I’d build the page in Squarespace

Create a new Blank Page named FAQ under Not Linked or Main Navigation. Since you want it in the header, I’d actually put the page under Main Navigation.

Use the slug:

/faq

At the top, use:

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before Yard Marshal goes on patrol.

Then use Squarespace Accordion blocks for the questions instead of one giant text block. That will look much cleaner on desktop and especially mobile.

Header

Once the page exists, I’d make the header:

Services | How It Works | FAQ | About | Get Started

Or, if we eventually replace Services with Pricing:

How It Works | Pricing | FAQ | About | Get Started

Then the footer FAQ link should go to the FAQ page, not #faq.

So when we edit the footer again, choose:

Page → FAQ

rather than entering #faq.

That will keep both the header and footer pointing to the same permanent page.
